Joyce Odidison's Founder Story
The company's founder, Joyce Odidison Joyce is a Thought Leader on Workplace Interpersonal Dynamics and Wellness Competency Mindset Teaching and Coaching. She is a Conflict Analyst, Coach, and corporate speaker and trainer for 25 years. She is an innovative thinker and program developer.
Joyce grew up on the small Caribbean Island called Dominica in the West Indies. As the third of four children raised by a single mother, her family faced some very difficult times when they had very little to eat. Many times they ate cooked green bananas for breakfast before school. Often they had no funds to purchase the protein they needed for a full meal. "We could seldom afford beef, chicken or even the more economical smoked fish" Joyce says..
I always had a dream to gain post secondary education and building a better life for myself and my family. As a child, we helped our mother work the farm and often woke early mornings to go to the farm to get coconut, sweet potatoes or green bananas to cook for breakfast before school. My dream for higher education came through an invitation from my aunt to come to Canada.
After moving to Canada in mid July 1987, Joyce became obsessed with gaining an education and pursuing a business. " As a child, I knew my grandmother and my mother being entrepreneurial. Entrepreneurship is in my blood. I was determined to start my own business. She gained a bachelor degree and a Masters degree and pursued her dream of opening her own business.
Today, Joyce tries to give back to those who are interested in growing their mindset and competencies to attain their dreams at work and in life.
